Our Services
Our services are offered by trained Arborists. We know Wisconsin can have extreme weather and proper tree care is a must for a healthy and safe outdoor environment. Regular tree health assessment and pruning maintenance can help your tree survive the harshest of conditions including high force driven winds, brutally cold winters, and stress from early and late season snow accumulation. Let us improve the health, structure, and vitality of your trees.
If desired, we also provide tree removal. We remove trees in tricky spots with skill and precision. We also offer the use of a crane if circumstances warrant.
We offer tree health care to develop a plan to improve the health of your trees by catering to the natural ecosystems. We can supply your tree with necessary macro and micronutrients to ensure it is living in the best possible growing conditions.
We can also treat trees for various pest, fungal, and bacterial infections. This is becoming more and more crucial with the upward trend of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) infestations that are sweeping through Wisconsin.
Emergency services are also available when trees are endangering your habitat.
Emerald Ash Borer
Emerald Ash Borer, a pest originating in Asia and first found in the USA in the early 2000’s has been decimating our Ash stands and will continue to kill untreated Ash trees as it continues the spread from its origination point in Michigan.
Emerald Ash Borer, as its name would imply are emerald green beetles that live out their early years in the nutrient layer of Ash trees and cause damage to the transmission passages of the tree resulting in its decline and likely death. Signs that your tree may be suffering from EAB include but aren’t limited to die-back of the crown, flecking of the bark to have a more tan coloring, and epicormic growth (suckers, sprouts). A positive identifier of an infestation is the presence of D-shaped holes in the bark. These holes are ΒΌ inch wide and are the emergence holes of the mature adult beetle.
After the initial infestation of the tree, it can typically take two to five years for the tree to reach a point of no return before the eventual death of the tree.
Many treatment options are available but taking no action will result in the death of the tree and require its eventual removal. Untreated trees have a mortality rate of 99%.
Green Ash and White Ash are the two most common varieties and make up a significant number of the Fox Valley urban forest. If you suspect your trees may be infested, call us today for an evaluation before it’s too late to help save them.
We are here for you.
